The full-time economist on staff, Mike Janes specializes in downtown condos and new construction. He graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelors Degree of Science with Honours and Distinction in Economics. He studied Law and Economics at the Universita' per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy and wrote his thesis on uncertainty and punishment in group lending structures. Prior to coming to The Condo Group, he worked at HSBC and for the BC government in an economic policy position.  He quickly learned his true passion was in real estate and utilizes sound economic policy to make sure his clients are getting a leg up in the Victoria real estate market.

Mike is also an avid athlete who enjoys hockey, squash and triathlons, having recently represented Canada in the World Triathlon Championships in Australia. His other passions are photography, travel and family.
